Feingold Failure

Stuff happens.  This week, it was bronchitis.  And it's viral, so I just have to survive it.  It started the day I was supposed to make the no tomato ketchup.  That didn't happen.  I also had to work and I came home exhausted everyday.  Here was our "meal plan" for this week:

Monday:  Subway
Tuesday:  Coney Dogs
Wednesday:  Grilled Cheese and Tomato Soup
Thursday:  I put a ham in the crock pot and somehow ruined it - I ate a few pieces
Friday:  Jimmy Johns and lots and lots of sleep!

Well, there you go.  That was definitely a failure!  But, don't all those people who have time to make their own bread, butter, and jam drive you crazy?  Isn't it more comforting to know that there are people in the world that are human just like you?  I'm telling myself this so I don't feel too bad about not cutting it this week. :)

So, we are revising the diet until the summer when I will have more time to make ketchup from beets and carrots.  We are going to stick with buying organic and NO ARTIFICIAL DYES!  So, even though we're not sticking with the entire diet just yet, I'm still going to have updates on new recipes and products that I find.  I visited Whole Foods last week and I loved it!  Their store brand, 365 Everyday Value is much cheaper than other organic products.  I bought several bags of 365 Everyday Value Chocolate Chips and so I'll share a recipe that I made today from No. 2 Pencil.  I'm still not up to making much so I tried out Chocolate Chip Cookie in a Cup.  Gavin said, "It's great!"  But, I say nothing beats a real cookie.
